One of the biggest tech events of the fall season did not disappoint. With Apple’s iPhone 13 introduced to the world on September 14, the company unveiled a slew of new features and updates to previous models, once again proving that if you wanted a smartphone this was the one to have.
With the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models for the premium-feature enthusiasts, they also showcased the more cost-friendly iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini models. This offered even more opportunities for people to own the insanely popular mobile device.
All of the iPhone 13 features are great, improving on previous capabilities and adding some slick new ones as well. But which one is right for you? That depends on what you want. But whether you keep your iPhone 12 or upgrade to the latest and greatest 13, below are thirteen of Apple’s best new product features to help you decide.
1. A15 Bionic with 5-core GPU
A15 Bionic is the fastest chip in a smartphone, and comes with the iPhone 13. In fact, it is up to 50 percent faster than other smartphone chips out there. It allows for faster performance and better power efficiency, which always comes in handy. The A15 Bionic is available in all models, so no matter which one you choose, you still win.

Upgraded cameras are something every Apple fan looks forward to with each iPhone iteration. The new 3X tele lens on the iPhone 13 Pro offers up to 15X digital zoom and 3X optical zoom on videos, which is an improvement over the previous model. Better cameras make all the difference, even if the improvement is incremental.
3. Animated Wallpapers
Ok, this isn’t the most incredible update, but it is cool. What makes smartphones, and in particular, the iPhone, so special are the little details users come to expect. The four live wallpaper patterns have different color schemes, and on your lock screen these light bars animate. This feature is available only on iPhone 13 Proand iPhone 13 Pro Max.
4. iOS 15

Another pullover from the iPad is the drag and drop option across apps. A lot of folks are excited about this one, as it serves multiple purposes. MacRumors did an excellent tutorial, found here: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/drag-and-drop-screenshots-ios/
8. App Tracking Control
Apps tracking you is nothing new, but your control over them with a new Apple device is. Head over to your Settings > Privacy and choose “Tracking.” There you’ll find a few options that let you customize each app or turn them all off. Privacy is key, and Apple knows this.
9. Limit Apps Data Access
Allowing you even more transparency into your data sharing, go into Settings > Privacy and choose “Record App Activity.” If you choose to allow data access, this is where you can find who, what and where the data is being pulled from. Then you can decide to leave it on or turn it off.
10. Photographic Style

This new feature doubles the number of frames per second from 60 to 120, making animation much smoother and creating a stunning video experience that you will see immediately.
12. New iPhone Colors
Sierra blue for iPhone 13 Pro models is the darling of the new phone colors this year. Tech editors are in love with it, and it makes sense. It’s a classy, soothing color. Other colors include PRODUCT(RED), starlight, midnight blue, and of course pink to round out the Pro options.
13. Bragging rights
That’s right – with every new iPhone 13 comes the bragging right of being an early adopter of some of the most sought after design and technology in the world.
